Preparing the Exterior of your home

Curb appeal is an important aspect of selling your home. It can drastically improve the amount of showings and offers you receive. Use this checklist to maximize how your home is seen in the main marketing photo and the initial feeling buyers will perceive as they approach your home.

Exterior Checklist:

  • Park vehicles on the street away from the home

  • Put garbage cans away (out of sight)

  • Sweep walkways, porches, driveway, entry

  • Pull weeds and clean up & fluff the gravel

  • Mow lawn, trim shrubs, & clear leaves

  • Hide garden hose/reel

  • Keep garden or landscape tools out of sight

  • Clean and arrange patio furniture (stage)

  • Put kids toys/pet toys away

  • Clear the pool of any debris and make sure water features are on

Additionally, if there are pets, it is best to make arrangements for them to be off the property while the shoot is going on. This will ensure that they do not accidentally run in while you are working.
